Mole Valley Masonry offers a vast array of natural and man-made stone, including Granite, Marble, Slate, Limestone & Quartz sourced from quarries around the world. With hundreds of varieties of competitively priced stone to choose from, we offer you superb choice.

Granite:
This igneous rock has been formed deep within the heat of the earth's core and is the most popular choice for kitchen worktops. Granite provides the most durable surface of all natural stones and is available with a high gloss polish, matt honed finish or with a flamed or satin finish. Granite is available in a vast array of colours from jet-black to vibrant blues, mellow golds and glorious greens.
Marble:
This is metamorphic rock compressed under the earth's surface for millions of years. Marble is known for the ‘veining' that runs throughout the stone giving it a spectacular quality. Marble is more porous than granite and can be attacked by acidic products. Marble is often used in bathrooms and in areas where the ‘wow factor' is required. Marble is available with a polished, honed or acid wash finish and as with granite offers a broad colour spectrum from earthy terracotta to warm browns and dramatic greys & blacks.
Limestone and Slate:
These sedimentary rocks have been formed over millions of years by particles of sand, stone & shell that layered on top of each other at the bottom of our seas and waterways, eventually being compressed into hard stone. Limestone is often known for its fossil content and is mainly cream & white in colour, whilst slate has a more uniform patina, is darker and is available in greens, greys & blacks. All limestone and slate have a more honed appearance as they are softer and unable to be highly polished. Limestone is very popular in bathrooms whilst slate is the choice for bathrooms & hearths.
Quartz surfaces:
A man-made stone using one of nature's hardest materials – ‘Quartz' and combing it with pigments and polyester resins. Quartz feels cold like stone and offers similar properties to granite, making it a good choice for kitchen work surfaces. Quartz is consistent in texture and appearance is durable and low maintenance. Being man-made Quartz is available in contemporary colours from ruby red to sparkly black, pure white, cream and beiges – making pale surfaces a real possibility in kitchens & bathrooms.
